About the subject: Whilst exploring the city streets, I came across this elderly box collector taking a rest on her cart of flattened cardboard. A familiar sight here in Hong Kong these ‘cardboard grannies’ as they are known are a stark reminder of the wealth gap that exists in this supposedly modern affluent city with one-third of the elderly living in poverty and many forced to eke out a living by collecting paper & card for recycling.
