Presenting a scene of Kennedy Town, which is a district on the most western edge of the north side of Hong Kong Island. It is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike to take sunset photos along the harbour front, although I find the nearby streets in the neighbourhood more interesting.

This evening view shows a tram passing an intersection on Davis and Hau Wo Streets, with a lovely example of a ‘Round Corner Building/ in the back ground, this one having been constructed in 1958. These iconic locally designed buildings are a quintessential part of the Hong Kong urban landscape, although they are gradually fading away. Their generous use of space being replaced for more financially beneficial box towers.

It is my hope, that a human scaled neighbourhood such as Kennedy Town can maintain its charm and appeal and that heritage and uniqueness can be valued more than profit.
