This watercolor plein air sketch was created on location at a vantage point overlooking the typhoon shelter in Causeway Bay. The weather was unsettled and foreboding, contributing to an intriguing stormy sky and the grey-toned harbor water. Fortunately, I found the scene quite tranquil and spent a few peaceful hours working on it, managing to finish the painting just before the rain arrived.
