Stanley is a village on the southern side of Hong Kong Island & (under normal circumstances) its a popular tourist destination famous for its market lanes & seafront cafes. The building in the background on the left is named ‘Murray House’ & its a restored 19th-century former barracks which used to stand in the Central business district before being moved ‘brick by brick’ to its new location overlooking the promenade.
This was a challenging sketch session. I struggled to find a good spot & ended up sat on a (butt numbing) rock outcrop surrounded by the sea. I had to contend with high winds, strong sunlight & fading light. But as always, it’s all part of the learning experience!
