Pastel painting of a Fishing Junk at anchor at Peng Chau, an outlying island in Hong Kong. As I was paddling around the island in my Kayak, I was attracted to this scene by the way the late afternoon sunlight seemed to shimmer and swirl on the silky water. So I worked from my photo to recreate this serene scene.
