Location sketch: Peng Chau. I hopped over to the neighboring island of Peng Chau which is only a short boat ride away from my home village of Discovery Bay to paint this location watercolour sketch. In fact, ‘DB’ is visible in the distance all along the horizon line as seen from this lovely little beach on the North side of the island.
The sun was quite strong, so luckily I brought a pop-up shelter and rigged up some shade which looked rather Robinson Crusoe-like l I must say. And of course, I treated myself to a splash in the sea once this artwork was finished.
