This pastel painting is created on textured paper, inspired by a photo I took through the window of a ferry while heading home to my island. It captures one of those breathtaking sunsets where the sky blazes with color, illuminating the churning waves of the harbor below. The neon signs reflecting off the city buildings added an electric touch to the scene, making it feel truly special. I’m glad I decided to revisit that moment for my art—sometimes those quick snapshots hold a world of inspiration.
